Jamie (on the right) is a very happy boy with us and thoroughly enjoyed a family trip to the beach.  When he arrived he was very overweight, sluggish and really defensive of his space (hiding under the coffee table) and decided that all toys (even Bessie's) belonged to him.  Bessie (on the left) has a very sweet nature and after the lonely days without Dougal, our first beloved Scottie, she was just so delighted to have a fellow Scot about to watch and admire.  In a matter of months, Jamie has changed before our very eyes and will now gladly drop his toy for us to throw, he is sleeker and even his coat is very shiny.  He is an angel to walk in our woods, much better behaved than Bessie, and already a much loved member of the Recreation Park Gang.  We are so lucky to have him.  It was hard to adopt an older dog, especially as Jamie is 8 yrs old - the same age that Dougal was when he went to Scottie Heaven - but we are so happy we did and really grateful for all the work done by STECS.  We only wish the elderly couple who so reluctantly put him up for adoption could see how happy he is now.
