My name is Oliver Moonbeam. I was 5 years old on 5th July 2010, and I live in Devon.
I feel a bit lonely, as my companion, Sophie, went to Rainbow Bridge in January 2010. She was 13 years old and the pain from cancer suddenly got too bad and we had to say goodbye. Sophie was rescued by Mum just over 2 years ago (early in 2008). She had been picked up by the dog warden and nobody wanted her. She’d had a bad time and had dreadful toothache so needed to have some of her teeth taken out and get lots of loving care. I loved Sophie right from the start and took special care of her as I knew she had been very frightened.
Mum has found another Scottie girl that would like to come and live with me so I am very excited and looking forward to meeting her. She is about the same age as me and has just had some pups so will be ready to come home with me in July.
Updated 19th July 2010 - Oliver Moonbeam now has Heather, his new companion.
Heather is related to Oliver as she has the same mother but was born a year later than Oliver. She will be 4 on 22nd July 2010. She is learning to live in a house and garden and is adapting very quickly.
