Editor's note: I am sharing this message, received on behalf of 'Hector', who is celebrating his third birthday today, with just a little help from Scottie pal 'Alice'.
Hi Marion,
Hector is being a bit shy today as he's now 3 and all grown up, so he's asked me to send this to you.
He says many thanks for the cards on the website and thanks for the video on how to dig up Daddie's lawn. Time Team have asked me to open a new trench in the garden in the hope of finding treasure (bones).
Alice has volunteered to take Hector to Maccy D's for lunch as long as she can have triple burger and fries while he plays in the ball pit.

Thank you for your kind words. My husband and I have just read your story and what a remarkable lady you are. We have looked at Lily's pictures and can't believe how alike she is to Ellie, although Ellie does have one lop ear, but we wouldn't have her any other way. She is our first Scottie; we can't believe how intelligent and knowing she is. She is so loving and brings us a lot of joy. She is so friendly towards people. I think once you first have a Scottie you want to find out more about them. We love reading stories on the scottie dog lovers website and also looking at the pictures.
We live in a private boarding school and I am a House Matron and look after 90 boys!! Sometimes I take Ellie up into the boarding house and she loves nothing better than running down the corridors with the boys. There is lots of space for Ellie to run around on the actual school site.
We are thinking of getting another Scottie, probably July time. At times I think maybe not as I don't know whether Ellie's character might change as she is so good on her own. One part of me says yes we willl and then another part of me says no!!!!
I will definately put some more pictures of Ellie on.

I was a bit unsure about this furcut. I was worried that my pals wouldn't know me when I got home. Happily they did! Archie said "Eh, you look grand lassie" but I wasn't too sure whether he actually knew how I should look (he's kind, but not a Scot himself) so it was great to hear from you that I DO look like a Scottie should.

A big 'thank you' to Bentley and Bugsy for your lovely gifts - what a lovely surprise!!When Badger’s and Lottie’s parcel arrived I had two eager beavers (well! Scotties actually) snapping at my heels and they soon had their teeth (and gums) into their new toys. I would like to share the images of them enjoying their gifts and to let you all know how kind Dave and Fiona are.
