Thank you Marion and Roger for showing us such sweet pictures of Lottie and Badger. They look so settled together. I particularly like the one of Badger wrapped in a blanket cuddling his teddy. Maybe it's been a long time since he had such loving care.
Lots of kisses to the two Scots.

Dear Marion
Thank you for the lovely photos of Lottie, the strawberry girl, and Badger, a very fine gentleman. Such contentment on his face is a picture in itself. At the moment he is floating on a cloud; all the love you are giving him, I bet he smiles in his sleep, gives a big yawn and snuggles down with the lovely Lottie.
I would love to mention Nellie Holland (what a lady), and thank her so much. Without her I would never have Dudley Bear.
Lots of love,
Maureen and Dudley Bear XXXXXXXXXXX

Subject: 'Norman and Jake' (not forgetting the donkeys)
Hello Elly
What a joy to see Norman and Jake, two very proud Scotties. The way you have loved and brought Jake along is a credit to you and your family. There is nothing more gratifying than to see a happy and contented dog - they should all be loved this way.
I see you have a passion for donkeys, the same as me. There is a local donkey sanctuary (Ada Cole) I used to visit. Had bad news a few weeks ago - there was the dearest donkey, Jimmy; he loved cheese and onion sandwiches (not too much onion); I couldn't get to see him as much as I would have liked - they informed me he had passed away but, on the good side, the last part of his life was a happy one. It's very hard to make cheese and onion sandwiches now without a tear and thinking of him but, on a good note, Sargent, quite a feisty young man, has just arrived so looking forward to seeing him, and I promised the Manager of the Sanctuary not to give Sargent bad habits (I'll smuggle the sandwiches in).
Take care. Love to you, Norman and Jake.

Hello Dorothy
Your Isla is gorgeous! What is it about Scotties, and Scottie pups especially, that is so very special? So many things ...
I'm so sorry that your Rocky crossed Rainbow Bridge recently. My Digger suffered with Cushings Disease and Diabetes in his last 3 years of life so I've got some idea of what you must have gone through together - it was a long time ago for me, but still vividly remembered.
Isla (and you too) might like to visit our slideshow and meet Tiger Lily who is now 10 months old. Your picture of Isla brings back all the joys, fun and mischief we've experienced since Lily bach came to live with us.
Have a wonderful life Isla!
With love from all of us ...

Editor's note: I am sharing this message of thanks, received from Dorothy Hankin, with those who have left welcome messages for her and new Scottie puppy 'Isla'.
Hi Marion
I am so glad that I went into the Scottie site. I've never known so much kindness from people I don't know, sending messages etc - true Scottie lovers. By the way, I'm Scottish but have lived in England for 40 years. We always hoped to take Rocky to Scotland and let him run in Glen Coe, but sadly he went too early. We miss him so very much. I look at the website every day and I shed a tear for all those loved Scotties. I hope he will be waiting for me when we meet again. This little raving lunatic keeps us busy.
Love to you and your Scotties,
Dorothy XXX

Subject: ARRROOOO!!
Hi Marion
Just read the Conversations and I wonder if I can ask if Bentley and Bugsy make the ARRROOOO noise?? I have never heard it before until Jake came home and he is very vocal, always telling me some kind of story and if I'm not acting quick enough for him, before long he is running round, jumping up my leg, shouting ARRROOOO!! He also responds when we shout it back to him. We thought this noise was very funny, especially as we had never heard it in a Scottie before (my Mum always had Scotties as well before my new obsession started!!).
Love, woofs and licks, Elly, Norman and Jake XXXX=

Hello Marion
Yes, all our Scotties have made the ARRROOOO sound - it's so funny. It is usually when they are not getting their own way, or things are not happening quickly enough.
Our first Scottie, Shona (sadly at Rainbow Bridge) also used to talk quite a lot. When excited she used to say RARRA, RARRA, and following on from that I bought a number plate for Fiona from the DVLA - R 4 RRA - and had written on the bottom "Scotties talk". It was amazing the number of comments we got from that!!
At the moment Bugsy is the talker in the house. He never shuts up, will always answer and always has something to say - especially "Hello", which has to be heard!
Anyway, they are both out on final catwatch before bed, and I can hear excited woofing, so something must be out there!!
Bye for now,
DaveEditor’s note: Found a noisy rendition on Youtube if you’d like to compare vocals :)

Hi Mia
Love your new collar. Mum bought me a big boy's collar - when we go out I feel really grown up - it's black with white Scottie dogs. Mum said it was a designer collar (didn't tell Dad how much it cost).
Well, us Scotties are very proud and totally priceless, as we all know.
Lots of love and licks,

Hi Dudley Bear
Thank you for contacting me. Long time no speak - hmm, guess 'cos our website is getting bigger you don't want to chat with 'Mia the Mad'. I forgive you - remember the early days - me, I was a baby, hey and you are still a handsome boy, and you welcomed me to this website.
Well, so now you get a new collar (Mummy doesn't tell Daddy how much) - Scottie Rule. I will bet a week's treats that you look the business, and (I'm jealous) all the girls fancy you. Why not - you're a good looking Scottie dog.
Dudley, I want your opinion on my two minders:
I know if you could, it would be you but you are a star in your own right, and I love you loads.
Take care Dudley, and look after the people you own.
Love you loads,
Mia XXXXXXXXX

Hi Mia 'the lovely' Mad
You know only you sparkle in my heart, and I still blush at your words.
I've seen all your new photos and videos, and you are still so cute and always in my thoughts.
Well, as for Reg and Ronnie, just not good enough. Me jealous? Grrrrrr, of course I am, but I can look at you every day on Scottie Dog Lovers and think in my heart "she's mine".
It's so embarrassing having to ask Mum to type, so love for now.

Hello Marion
Well, how much Bugsy and Bentley have laughed at the latest diary entry from the gorgeous Mia the Mad.
They are very envious of the new collar, although not too sure Versace is quite right for two boys from Wales! More Jeff Banks or John Rocha, although it has been known for them to dabble with Up Country and Burberry collars and home-made Burberry coats!!
Mia seems to like digging and pinching socks - whilst Bugsy says he cannot be bothered burying them, he does like to eat the toe end out of any stray sock, and it's most unlikely that Daddy will ever be seen again with a matching pair - even though Mummy has given up and now just buys 10 pairs of plain black socks every time she goes to Marks and Spencer (Bentley says it should say Barks and Spencer now, she is in there so often because of Sock Gate ...)!
Well, woofs, hugs and loves to all Scotties; keep up the Diary Mia!!

Hi Bugsy and Bentley
Thank you for your kind words. Nice to know that we have a website where we Scotties 'can talk'. Okay, let's talk.
Nice that you two get collars by Jeff B - wow - and that you both have loads of hills to walk. Me, I enjoy my walks on the Chilterns. Guess we all have hills to climb.
Seriously, it's so nice to hear from you two and, looking at your pictures, you both are a credit to Scottie dogs (although if we want to be posh we say, "I am an Aberdeen Terrier"). Me, I prefer, "Oh how nice, a Westie". It's great 'cos if I get up to mischief they blame it on a black Westie!! But I'm a Scottie, and proud.
Long may you two be part of our website, and continue to contribute, because the world should know that "Scotties Rule".
All my love to you both and the people you own.
