Subject: Scotties and Scottie Lovers
Hello everybody,
Really love the site, so much to read and so many nice people who like me are owned by Scotties. I recognise some of your names and some may recognise mine. At the moment I am owned by Bailey, age 9, who is a gentle giant, and a rescue Ladybug who is 1.5 years, a real dote, but she is in charge and Bail lets her get away with it. My sister and family are next door - they have two Westies and a Scottie, two are rescues. All five share a garden and get on great. I hope to keep in touch with this site for ever.

Subject: Animal lovers
Hello every Scottie and animal lover. I have met so many fantastic Scottie people via emailing - in these troubled times there is still time to love animals. I would love a tortoise and a donkey - what a combination - they would probably out-live me; so I visit animal rescue centres. I take lettuce and carrots, and a small bicky for a treat for Nelly, the lovely donkey.
I wish you all well.
Love Maureen and Dudley (Scottie Bear)

Subject: Fantastic Scotties
We live in the Ribble Valley in North East Lancashire and have had Scotties for the past 29 years. We had Willis from 8 weeks until he died at the age of 14. We then had brothers Monty and Jack from 10 weeks old. We lost Monty in September 08 and Jack died last Friday, both were aged 11. The love and happiness these three individuals have given us is fantastic. They really were wonderful friends and are greatly missed. I think now we will look to take on a rescue Scottie and give it a home with lots of love. I can't imagine living without Scotties - they are wonderful.

Subject: Marge - the 'Queen of Netto
I loved the story of Marge, the 'Queen of Netto'. In 2001 my dog groomer asked if she could take Lady, my Scottie, for a photo shoot. "Why not?" I said, "What are the photos for?" "Radley" she answered, and there is my Lady in Nova magazine looking up at a television screen of a Radley bag. Mary said to me she was a pro' - she said "Hello" to everyone, then got on with the job of being photographed. I bought 14 magazines - my local newsagent thought I was mad. Lady passed away in 2006. I still have such wonderful memories, and photos - so Marge, you lovely Scottie, - well done - you will be remembered forever, just like Lady.

Subject: Thank you from Josh and Jock
Just a note to say a big thank you to Marion and Roger for all their help in assisting me to share my West Highland Way adventure with other Scottie Dog Lovers. I also want to thank them both for their kind donation to my chosen charity - (STECS). Jock would like to thank Lottie and Piper for his wee box of treats. They are being enjoyed at the present time on a daily basis. My final thank you goes to anyone else who has made a donation to STECS as a result of our walk. I will have a total amount raised to share with you all soon.

Have just found this website and have only seen the animation part. It really cheered me up and gave me a good laugh. I had to have my scottie put to sleep on 20th March and I am still upset and missing him.

Just found your site - wonderful! Still not finished looking yet. My favourite topic. Was surprised at how much is in there. Keep up the good work. It's a good site for a rainy day, 'cos lets face it, if the sun was shining we would be out walking our lovely boys and girls.

A huge pat on the back to Josh, Jock and the rest of the team. Stress, lack of food and exhaustion....we wouldn't have made it to the end of the road. It just goes to show what a big hearted and dedicated lot they are.
Well done!

Love the photos of Jan's family. Don't these pair look a pair of "tuffies" but I bet they're old "softies" really.

Hi Barry,
It's lovely to know that you're so passionate about sharing your feelings with everyone. The 'Forum' was created to enable simple communication between like-minded people, to enable Scottie lovers to leave requests and messages and to provide a method of letting us know if our site content meets with approval or needs enhancing.
The 'Forum' is moderated which means that each message has to be approved before it is posted (we have to consider young people and vulnerable adults). This 'moderation' removes any chance of a 'Chat' as it could take a while before we acknowledged any correspondence.
We also find that the majority of visitors are the 'silent type' and take their pleasure from reading or viewing the content rather than contributing.
Although we like to cater for everyone, right now a 'Chat' facility is not on the cards but maybe others would like to contribute their opinion.

We agree with Baz and Sue when they suggest that this is such a fabulous site. I can't understand why there has not been more of a response/feedback to the wonderful eclectic mix of scottie/animal friendly features (even our little Scottie Hector has been turned into a jigsaw). This is a site without bias, which is why we love it. Keep up the good work Marion 'cos your doing a wonderful job.

Hello Marion,
I think I know where I was going wrong when trying to e-mail before. If I am correct then you will receive my story and photos about our doggies, past and present, that I would like you to post onto your web page for other like-minded people to read and enjoy. Love the new site and hope it takes off in leaps and bounds.
Best regards, Barry

Hi Marion,
I wondered if you, or anyone who has visited your site, might know of any reputable/competent Scottie groomers within driving distance of Derby. Thank you for any advice or information.

Hi there - What a great website. We are privileged to live with a scottie. He is a great character. I am also a member of STECS and waiting to rescue a scottie. We had two originally but lost one at 5 years old last April. Have two rescue lurchers as well. Have a poem about our scottie we lost. Would like to put on your website. Love all dogs.

"A Scottie dog!",they exclaim. "Haven't seen one of those for years; used to have one when I was a child". How many times has this been said to us over the years? I can't recall but I bet it has happened to you if you are a Scottie owner. We have had, over the years, 3 Scottie girls, all came with their problems; the two we have now came from STECS (Scottish Terrier Emergency Care Scheme).

Subject: A True Scottie Site
We just discovered your site today and must say that it's so nice to see a site which oozes such warmth and friendliness to us mere folk who love and respect all animals, including our special little Scottie named Hector. Love the Scottie freebies and can't wait to try them out. Thanks.

Many thanks for your positive comments. It's only by feedback from devotees like yourselves that we (I have to include my husband as he does most of the work) are able to provide the kind of website that Scottie lovers will regularly visit. With a bit of luck, we may even be able to increase (indirectly) charitable contributions to animal welfare.
